Last updated: August 2026. How we collect, use and protect your information under GDPR.
Who we are
Radiant Heating & Plumbing, 17 The Courtyard, Brookwood, Bray, Co. Wicklow. Contact: Gerard@radiantheatingandplumbing.com or 087 212 0814.
We are the data controller for the personal information described in this policy. If you have any question about how your data is handled, contact us using the details above.
What we collect
When you use our quote form we collect your name, phone number, email address, the area you're in, the service you need, your message, and any photos you choose to attach. If you ring or email us we keep the details you give us so we can quote and carry out the work.
We may also hold: the address and access details of the property, appliance and system details, gas safety and commissioning records, invoices and payment references (we do not store card numbers), correspondence including SMS or WhatsApp messages about a job, and answers you give in the grant checker. Our hosting provider processes limited technical data such as IP address and browser type in server logs for security purposes.
Where we get it
Almost always directly from you. Occasionally we receive details from a third party who asked us to attend, such as a landlord, letting agent, management company, family member arranging work on your behalf, or an insurer. If someone gives us your details, this policy applies to that information too.
Why we use it
Only to respond to your enquiry, price and schedule work, complete SEAI grant paperwork where relevant, and keep records of jobs carried out. We do not sell your information and we do not use it for marketing unless you ask us to.
Our legal basis
- Contract — to quote for, arrange and carry out work you have asked us to do.
- Legal obligation — gas safety certification, RGI record keeping, invoicing and Revenue requirements.
- Legitimate interests — keeping job records, honouring warranties, and defending or making legal claims.
- Consent — where you ask us to keep you updated, or send us photos of your system. You can withdraw consent at any time.
Who we share it with
We share only what is necessary, and only with: our hosting and database provider, our email delivery provider, SEAI or the relevant local authority where you ask us to support a grant application, boiler manufacturers for warranty registration, and our accountant or insurer where required. All providers act on our instructions under a data processing agreement. We never sell or rent your information, and we do not use it for advertising.
Grant applications
Where you ask us to help with an SEAI or local authority application, we share only the information needed for that application, and only with your instruction. Those bodies are independent controllers of the data you submit to them and handle it under their own privacy notices. We are not responsible for their decisions or their processing — see our Grants Policy & Disclaimer.
Marketing
We do not run advertising campaigns using your data. If we ever send a service reminder or an occasional update, it will be to existing customers about similar services, and every message will carry a one-click way to opt out. You can tell us to stop at any time by replying or emailing Gerard@radiantheatingandplumbing.com.
Automated decision-making
The grant checker displays indicative results based on the answers you enter. It is an information tool only: it does not make any decision about you, does not determine eligibility, and has no legal or similarly significant effect. We do not carry out profiling or automated decision-making within the meaning of Article 22 GDPR.
International transfers
Our providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where that happens, the transfer is covered by EU Standard Contractual Clauses or an equivalent safeguard.
Storage and security
Enquiries and any photos you upload are stored in a private, access-controlled database and file store. Photos you send are never made public. Only Radiant staff accounts can view them, through time-limited links.
Data is encrypted in transit, access is restricted by row-level security and individual staff logins, and administrative access is limited to those who need it. No system is perfectly secure, but if a breach occurs that is likely to risk your rights and freedoms we will notify the Data Protection Commission within 72 hours and tell you without undue delay where required.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that don't turn into work are kept for up to 12 months. Records relating to completed work, certification and grant claims are kept for as long as required for warranty, safety and tax purposes.
Your rights
Under GDPR you can ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we're not legally required to keep it. Email Gerard@radiantheatingandplumbing.com and we'll deal with it within one month. You can also complain to the Data Protection Commission (dataprotection.ie).
You also have the right to restrict or object to processing, to receive your data in a portable format, and to withdraw consent where consent is the basis we rely on. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
Cookies
This site does not use advertising or tracking cookies. Only technical storage needed to run the site and keep staff logins working is used.
Full detail of every cookie and storage item, and how to control them, is set out in our Cookie Policy.
Children
This site and our services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our services or providers change. The date at the top of the page shows when it was last revised.
